I am an Egyptian student interested in the intersection of politics, culture, and discourse in the Middle East and North Africa. In the past, I have worked on Egyptian television in the aftermath of the Arab Spring. My next project will hopefully be a Ph.D. dissertation on Egyptian hip-hop and subaltern urban youth's subjectivities. When I am not procrastinating, I might occasionally write rants about the West or neoliberalism.
